A menstruating woman can seek forgiveness, invoke peace and blessings upon the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, and make other remembrances

Question

Assalamu alaikum.I have been going through some supernatural conditions. Those supernatural conditions are creating a lot of problems for me.I don't know whether all those supernatural conditions are harmul for me or some supernatural conditions are harmful for me or some part of some supernatural conditions are harmful for me.) I don't know which of those supernatural conditions are harmful for me.It might also happen that I am not aware of some supernatural conditions(which are harmful for me).Can you please tell me will it be authentic to do the dhikr of istighfar and darood shareef many times everyday (Even when I can't offer salat and do other religious activities) in my situation? Can you please tell me if i am allowed to do those two dhikrs, what should be the specific intention in my mind for doing those two dhikrs in my situation? Thank you.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

If you mean that what prevents you from offering prayer is a legal impediment, i.e., menstruation, then you should know that a menstruating woman can seek forgiveness, invoke peace and blessings upon the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, and make other remembrances. She is permitted to do all these acts, and she will be rewarded for them.

A menstruating woman is also permitted to read the Quran, but without touching the Mushaf, according to the most correct opinion of the scholars. It should be noted that it is not permissible for a Muslim woman who is not menstruating to abandon prayer for any reason.

There are many intentions behind offering remembrances: the intention to worship Allah and draw closer to Him, obtain the rewards of the Hereafter, and gain the reward of this world that results from remembrances, such as removing worries, relieving distress and the like.

As for what you mentioned about supernatural conditions: we advise you to ignore these whispers, not to be preoccupied with them, and you may consult specialists to treat them.

Allah knows best.
