Assalam Aleikum,i read fatwas 91095 and 82539 which say that vaginal discharges have to be cleaned off before we get ablution. My question is if you are working or you have to go to school and the public washrooms donnot give you the privacy to remove your under garments and to wash them,or if like myself, you are prone to a natural condition called candidiasis which occurs in most women and doesnt allow you to have wet knickers.(it becomes worse).I thought since you cannot control the flow of vaginal discharges(comes out unintentionally) unlike urine and feaces,it doesnt nullify your wudhu. If i maynot be able to clean it off,i cant pray?Do women have to get ablution for every swallah just in case?do i have to buy panty liners to be worn five times a day?(it becomes expensive) I know islam is doesnt call for burdening its followers.Jazzakallahu Khieran
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
A woman can use a panty liner, and when she wants to perform the prayer, she should remove it and she does not need to wash her underwear. If she is unable to use them (for whatever reason) then she must wash the parts of her clothes that were touched by this impurity. However, if this impurity is constant and it is very difficult for her to wash her underwear before every prayer, then she may perform the prayer as she is as Allaah does not overburden a person more than he/she can bear. Moreover, some scholars like those of the Maaliki School of jurisprudence, are of the view that an enuretic person is neither obliged to perform ablution for every prayer nor wash the place of impurity due to the difficulty and hardship.
