Someone made 'umrah and had a long interval between the sixth and the seventh shawt during tawaaf (lasted many hours) due to tiredness. He later completed the 'umrah. How should he rectify the situation?
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Making successive rounds when performing the Tawaaf is something desirable according to some jurists and an obligation according to others. The view which we adopt here in Islamweb is that making successive rounds when performing the Tawaaf is a Sunnah and not an obligation. Even according to the jurists who are of the view that successiveness is an obligation, they permitted short intervals between one round and another, and many jurists permitted long intervals due to a sound reason. Since the person whom you mentioned in the question made an interval between the sixth and seventh round due to tiredness, then he is excused, Allaah willing, and he is not required to do anything.
Allaah Knows best.
