please help me is it lawfull to recite suratul nas 1000 times for shifa ?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
Undoubtedly, the Glorious Quran is a cure and mercy for the believers and it cures both physical and spiritual diseases. Applying Ruqyah with the Quran is certainly effective, especially Al-Mu`awwithaat (Al-Ikhlaas, Al-Falaq and An-Naas). When the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, got sick, he would recite Al-Mu`awwithaat on his body and blow air without saliva or blow a slightly wet breath, as narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim. Ruqyah was previously clarified in Fataawa 85500 and 88705.
On the other hand, there is no evidence on the number mentioned in the question. Therefore, it is not permissible for you to abide by that number or to believe that it is of a special merit. For further benefit, see Fataawa 88296 and 83421.
