Question
As salam alai kum, Dear brother my uncle was working in a company while working his both hands fingers got damaged about 65%, he can work but his owner removed him from job now the case is going in labour court for last 6 years, the court has given order to give compassion for last 6 years and take him back on duty, can my uncle take this money coz he was not working is it halal for him.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
The issue of compensations on work injuries and the rights of workers when they are arbitrarily dismissed and other issues cannot be decided by passing a Fatwa, since they are issues of dispute with many details which can only be studied and assessed by the court before passing a Judgment. Therefore, we cannot issue a Fatwa that prevents the said worker from taking the compensation which was ruled in his favor by the court which deals with the affairs of workers.
We advise you to consult the Islamic courts in your country or to present your case orally to the scholars in your country who are aware of the rules of workers in your country.
