If a woman started her post-partum bleeding on the day of Tarwiyah (eighth of Thu’l Hijjah) and completed the pillars of Hajj with the exception of Tawaaf and Sa’y (walking between Mounts Safa and Marwah), and then realizes that she has tentatively attained purity after ten days, should she purify herself, perform Ghusl (ritual bathing) and perform the remaining pillar which is Tawaaf (circumambulation)?
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen said: "It is impermissible for her to perform Ghusl and perform Tawaaf until she is certain that she has attained purity. It is understood from the question when she says “tentatively” that she did not attain full purity. Whenever she attains full purity, she should purify herself, perform Ghusl and perform Tawaaf and Sa‘y. It is permissible to perform Sa‘y before Tawaaf as the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, was asked about performing Sa‘y before Tawaaf and said that it is permissible to do so."
Allaah Knows best.
