Is it permissible for my wife to take off her Hijaab before my step-father, just as she does with other Mahram men? May Allaah reward you.
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
It is impermissible for your wife to take off her Hijab (Islamic covering) before your step-father, just as she does with other Mahram (non-marriageable) men, because he is not a Mahram. This man is permitted to marry your wife; and even to gather your wife and mother in marriage at the same time if you divorce her or die. He is permitted to gather both your wife and mother as wives at the same time, provided that none of them is the paternal or maternal aunt of the other.
Allaah Knows best.
