Assalam u alaikum...Is this hadith authentic? Abu Huraira narrates that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "In relation to Ramadan, my ummah has been given 5 things never granted to any previous ummah: 1) The smell from the fasting person’s mouth is more beloved to Allah than the fragrance of musk. 2) Until iftar, the fish in the sea keep seeking forgiveness for the person fasting. 3) Allah decorates Jannah every day (for the fasting person). 4) The devils are chained up in this month. 5) The ummah is forgiven in the last night." [Musnad of Imam Ahmad, Bazzaar, & Bayhaqi]
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
The Hadeeth which you mentioned, which is the saying of the Prophet : “My nation was granted in Ramadan five things that were not granted to any previous nation: 1) The smell from the mouth of a fasting person is sweeter to Allaah than the fragrance of musk; 2) the angels keep asking for forgiveness for them until they break their fast; 3) Allaah adorns His Paradise every day and then He says: ‘My fasting servants are about to be relieved of their burdens and sufferings and come to me; 4) the devils are chained; so they do not commit what they used to commit in other than it (Ramadan); 5) and they are forgiven in the last night.” The Prophet was asked: “Is it Laylat-ul-Qadr (the Night of Decree)? He replied: “No. But the laborer is paid upon finishing his work.” [Narrated by Ahmad and Al-Bazzaar & by Al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab Al-Eemaan with chains of narrators that are disputable]
Besides, Al-Albaani classified it as Dha’eef (weak) in As-Silsilah Adh-Dha’eefah, as well as Shua’yb Al-Arna’oot when classifying the Ahaadeeth of Al-Musnad as he said: “There is another narration that supports it from the Hadeeth of Jaabir ibn ‘Abdullaah reported by Al-Bayhaqi in ‘Ash-Shu’ab’ (3603) and its chain of narrators is Dha’eef.
Allaah Knows best.
