Question
Asalama 'alaikum Is it true that Allah ( azza wa jal) will recite surah Rahman to the inhabitants of jannah?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
There are weak narrations that Allaah will recite the Quran to the people of Paradise. As regards Allaah reciting Soorah Ar-Rahmaan in particular, we have not come across any narration about this.
The Permanent Committee of Iftaa’ (in Saudi Arabia) was asked: “Is it true that we are going to hear our Lord reciting to us in Paradise –Allaah willing – Soorah Ar-Rahmaan?
The Permanent Committee replied: “That is not true as far as we know.”
