Question
asaam I intend to get in a website which is called voices.com so for example when someone needs a person with a good voice to read a book or a story he is gonna hire someone but to be able to work in the website I ve got to pay 30 OR 40 dollars a month for the membership of the website so is this permissible ? thanks
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
Subscribing to a website and benefiting from its permissible services in return for a known fee is permissible as long as the service which it provides is permissible. However, if what the site provides is forbidden, then it is not permissible to subscribe to it or to benefit from it even if it is free of charge.
