Question
Is it permissible for the wife to ask for divorce if her husband suffers from premature ejaculation?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
Premature ejaculation is not one of the reasons that entitle the woman to ask for divorce so that the husband is compelled to divorce her. However, if this defect harms you and prevents you from being watchful of the borders of Allaah and that you fear from temptation because of not being able to be patient, then, it is permissible for you to make Khul’ through paying him an amount of money, that you mutually agree upon, in order to separate.
