Question
As Salam Alaikkum wohrehmathulai wobarkatahoo
Please advise on a woman who delivered
Is there any restriction on her from stepping out of home and travelling ...please advise as per Hadith and what would sahaba did after the delivery

Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad 
is His Slave and Messenger.
There are no specific rulings pertaining to women during the postpartum period (Nifaas) as regarding going out of her house or travelling. The rulings that apply to her are the same rulings that apply to all other women. She leaves her house only with the permission of her husband, if she goes out she should cover herself wearing Hijaab, she should not wear perfume or make-up, she should not speak to men in a soft tone, and she should only travel accompanied by her husband or one of her Mahrams (permanently non-marriageable male relative).
What is legislated in Sharee'ah after birth, according to the Sunnah and to what was practiced by the Companions, is offering Aqeeqah on behalf of the new-born child, choosing a good name for him, shaving his head and giving in charity the equivalent to the weight of his hair in silver, and naming him on the seventh day according to the Hadeeth: "Every child is in pledge for it's 'Aqeeqah which should be sacrificed on its seventh day, and he should be named on it, and his head should be shaved." [Ahmad and the four Imams. At-Tirmithi classified it as authentic]
It is permissible to be named before the seventh day after the birth according to the following Hadeeth: "A child was born to me last night and I named him after the name of my father Ibraaheem." [Muslim] Ibn Abu Talha was given the name 'Abdullah and they performed Tahneek (softening or chewing a date and then rubbing the palate of the new-born with it) to him on the day he was born, as was reported by Al-Bukhaari and Muslim.
Islamically, the husband is required to treat his wife well in general, and especially when she is ill or weak, as in the case during the postpartum period. We advise husbands to treat their wives with kindness. Allah Almighty Says (what means): {And live with them in kindness.} [Quran 4:19]
