Salaam,I am a single female Muslim who has known for several years that I am way more attracted to women than men. However, I will never act upon this desire as I love and respect Allah way too much to disobey him in this way (Alhamdullilah). My question is regarding allowing my future husband to have multiple wives. I have never really been against allowing my husband to have more wives, however would this be islamically acceptable knowing that I am attracted to women. I am not planning on ever telling my future husband that I am attracted to women, but if he ever wants a second wife and it would be islamically wrong in my situation I may have to tell him. The only reason why I think it may be islamically wrong is because the wives may have to spend time together and this may lead to haraam for myself. In this situation, what would be the right thing to do?
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Being attracted to women and not to men is contrary to the Fitrah (natural predisposition upon which Allah created mankind), and it is a kind of affliction.
You have done well by striving not to fall into what Allah, Blessed and Exalted be He, has forbidden, and by seeking to earn His Pleasure; this is how a believing woman should be.
You must strive to get rid of this feeling by seeking the Help of Allah, and supplicating Him frequently to rid you of this evil feeling, as Allah is capable of everything, and the hearts of the people are in His Hand and He turns them as He pleases.
You should also be keen to get married and feel that it is the way that Allah Almighty has prescribed for chastity as well as the many other Islamic benefits that result from it, such as offspring and the like, in addition to feeling the ugliness of sexual perversion and its bad consequences in this worldly life and in the Hereafter.
Being attracted to women is not an Islamic impediment for allowing your husband to marry more than one wife. Just having this inclination [that you mentioned] does not prevent from sitting with them like all other women if you are secure from temptation, and you should avoid sitting with them if you fear temptation.
In any case, you do not have to tell your husband about this feeling anyway, whether he wants to marry another woman or not.
