Salam.what is rule of using silicone on hairjQuery1110023508928232744408_1626415167322id i used any silicone based products and make wudu will be it valid?
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
What is obligatory according to the view of many scholars is to wipe over part of the head, which is the view of the Shaafi’i School of jurisprudence.
If this thing does not cover the entire hair and you wipe over part of your head, then your ablution is valid according to the view of the Shaafi’i School; this is also a narration about the woman according to the Hanbali School, which was chosen by Ibn Qudaamah and we do not see anything wrong with acting upon this view.
If the silicone covers the entire head, then it is a barrier that prevents water from reaching the hair, and therefore, ablution is not valid with its presence; rather, it must be removed before ablution so that the ablution will be valid according to those who are of the view that it is obligatory to wipe over the entire head or to remove part of the silicone so that the ablution will be valid according to those who are of the view that it is permissible to only wipe over part of the head.
Allah Knows best.
