Question
My husband gave all his money to his father and he did not give me any. I left him but there is no divorce. Is it allowed for a do just anything?
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
Every sane and mature person can act freely in his property during his lifetime. One may give charity, gifts, etc, from his property. This ruling is common for men and women. Therefore, your husband can give his whole money to his father as a gift and you have no right to object as long as it is his lawful right. However, this gift should not be done on the expense of the obligatory rights of a wife such as her maintenance clothing, etc.
