Question
I have the Holy Qur'an in english. I like what I have read, but in which Surah can I find more information about the last days of the world. I read from Al-Qiyamah to the end. I want to read more.
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
There is no Surah that talks only about the last days of this world. But there are some verses that talk about this. Allah says: {…..The day that some of the Signs of your Lord do come, no good will it do to a person to believe then, if he believed not before, nor earned good (by performing deeds of righteousness) through his Faith…..} [6:158]
The interpreters of Qur'an give explanations of such verses basing their judgement on Hadith. So, we advise you to read the whole translation of the Qur'an and you will undoubtedly find what you are looking for and this will encourage you to multiply good deeds. A man once came to the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) and said: 'Oh Prophet of Allah! When is the Doomsday?' He (the Prophet) said: "What did you prepare for it?" He (the man) replied: 'I love Allah and I love His Prophet.' Thereupon the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "you will be with whoever you love." [ Al Bukhari and Muslim ]
But this love is materialized in the obedience of Allah and the return to Him in all matters. Indeed the true lover abides by the orders of his beloved.'
