Question
Does Islam permit people to curse each other in any matter?
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. Know that it is unlawful for the Muslim to curse himself or others who do not deserve to be cursed or reprimanded. Imam Ahmad reported from Ibn Abbas that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "Indeed the believer is not a slanderer nor a cursor nor a vulgar outrageous person" .
