Fatwa CenterAnal sex with one's wife
Question
A friend ask me if he has sex with his wife through the anal not vagina! Has he committed Luwat (sadomy), if yes, can he be killed?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
We have already issued the ruling on anal sex with one's wife in Fatwa 81499, so please refer to it.
However, this does not necessitate killing the doer; rather, the doer is only obliged to repent and seek Allaah's Forgiveness. Whoever repents sincerely, Allaah accepts his repentance. Allaah Says (what means): {…And he upon whom My anger descends has certainly fallen [i.e. perished]. But indeed, I am the Perpetual Forgiver of whoever repents and believes and does righteousness and then continues in guidance.} [20:81-82]
