Question
What is the ruling of entering the toilet with a mobile phone which contains Quranic verses?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
If the Quranic verses appear on the screen of the phone, then it is forbidden to enter the toilet with it. However, if the Quranic verses are stored in it but not apparent on the screen, then there is no harm for a person to enter the toilet with it, as they will not be considered as a Quran unless they appear on the screen.
