Question
What Du'aa to say for searching or retrival of lost items from Suna and Quran?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
There is a supplication for finding a lost item that is recorded by At-Tabaraani 
from the narration of Ibn Umar 
. The Prophet 
used to supplicate [for finding a lost item], by saying, “O Allaah, the One Who Returns lost items, the One Who Guides all who go astray, the One Who Guides from deviation, return back to me my lost item, by Your Might and Sovereignty, as it is given to me by Your Grace and Generosity.”
Ibn Shaybah’s narration form Ibn Umar adds, “The Prophet used to perfume ablution, and then prays two Rak’ahs, and then say after the supplication of Tashahhud, ‘O Allaah, the One Who Guides all who go stray, the One Who Returns lost items, return back to me my lost item, by Your Might and Sovereignty, as it is given to me by Your Grace and Generosity’.”
