Question
hi. my name is nassrine. i was wondering about henna. i am 14 years old and i put a henna design on my hand and someone told it was wrong because im 14 and young. is this true?
Answer
All Perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as that of his family and all his companions.
What you were told is not correct as there is no harm in putting henna design on your hands as long as this does not harm you. However, you should not expose this beauty to other than your husband or a Mahram (i.e. a spouse or a person whom one is permanently prohibited from marrying due to suckling, marital, or blood relations).
