Fatwa CenterMuslim woman revealing her face, hands and feet
Question
Salam aleikom, I'd like to khow which school of thought says women are allowed to show in public places her face,hands and foot. sadakaljer.salam
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
We have already issued Fataawa 87202 and 83033 clarifying the opinions of the scholars 
about covering the face and hands for women, and mentioned those who are of the view that it is permissible to reveal them [hands and face].
As regards the feet, Hasan Ibn Ziyaad 
reported that Abu Haneefah is of the view that it is permissible to reveal them. The reason for this is that her feet get exposed while walking barefooted or when wearing shoes but cannot find socks to wear.
However, the preponderant opinion of the scholars is that she is obliged to cover them for the evidence that the Prophet 
said: "On the Day of Judgment Allaah will not look at the person who drags his garment with pride and arrogance", so Um Salamah 
inquired: "What should women do with the lower end of their garment?" The Prophet replied: "They should extend it the length of a span of a hand." She said: "Their feet will thus be exposed?" Thereupon, the Prophet said: "So they should extend it the length of a cubit but should not extend it further than this." [At-Tirmithi and An-Nasaa'i]
