Fatwa Center12 year old girl plays with boys for fun
Question
asalam alkuim plz answer me this im 12 and i havent gotton my period yet and the thing is is that i play wit the boys soccer just for fun like we play for match and we are kdiding with eachother no more than that i kno my hudud either if i didnt get it yet but the thing is its fun to play with them because they make me laugh! but i wanna know if its haram because if it is i should stop and if it isnt ill play more matches thank u plz answer me this because i need ot kno before i play again thanks salam
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
You are not permitted at your age to play with boys because a girl at your age even if she did not start menstruating, she is nearly at the age of puberty and men desire her. The scholars 
stated that when a girl reaches the age of nine or ten years old, she should be treated like a woman, in regard to the prohibition of looking at her and touching her.
Therefore, dear sister, you should fear Allaah and avoid playing with boys as it is dangerous. The fact that they make you laugh is not an excuse to mix and play with them. Furthermore, you should observe wearing Hijab and stay at home as much as possible because you are a Muslim young woman who is expected (in the future) to cultivate a pious generation who would raise the banner of Islam and spread it among the whole world.
