Fatwa CenterEating food prepared by friend's girlfriend
Question
I would want to know if it is permissible to eat the food prepared by the wife of one elder brother or friend who has no marriage or Nikah but just living as husband and wife.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
If you mean that this woman lives with this man and has intimate relationship with him without a valid marriage contract, then one should not eat the food of the sinner, especially if he/she commits the sin openly and insists on it. The scholars stated that it is prohibited to accept a food invitation of a dissolute person in order to rebuke him and force him to give up his disobedience and dissoluteness. No doubt that living with a marriageable woman and dealing as husband and wife is included in committing sin publicly and insisting on doing it. Therefore, whoever has contacts with such a man, like his brother or friend must advise him to get rid of such a sinful relation and remind him of Allaah and His grave punishment.
