A Palestinian man was killed in the southern West Bank on Sunday evening after allegedly wounding three Israeli police officers, according to Israel’s Channel 2.
Israeli police spokeswoman Luba Samri said in a written statement that the man was shot after he attempted to run over three Israeli soldiers and left them "slightly wounded".
The Palestinian man "might have died," the statement said.
The incident took place near the region of Beit Amr in the West Bank, it added.
According to Palestinian figures, more than 240 Palestinians have been killed since an uptick in Israeli-Palestinian violence began in October of 2015.
Israel, for its part, says 42 Israelis were killed by Palestinians over the same period.
