All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
First of all, we ask Allaah to facilitate you this delivery and we hope that it will happen without a need for a caesarian section. We advise you to supplicate Allaah as much as possible and you should not despair from His Mercy. Allaah Says (what means): {And invoke Him in fear and aspiration. Indeed, the mercy of Allaah is near to the doers of good.}[Quran 7:56]
Besides, may Allaah reward your husband for being keen on following the Sharee’ah (Islamic Law) and we advise you to help him in this regard.
We have already issued Fataawa 83987 and 88843 clarifying that it is not permissible for a woman to be delivered by a male doctor, or to be examined or treated by a male doctor except for a necessity. Therefore, it is better if you look for a female doctor to give this injection. If you cannot find any female doctor to do it, and there is a need for taking this injection by a male doctor, then it becomes permissible. However, it is not permissible to have this injection by a non-Muslim doctor if there is a Muslim doctor (who can administer it).
Finally, it should be noted that it is not permissible for your husband to object if not taking this injection will expose you to danger or a difficulty that you could not bear.
Allaah Knows best.
