Took a commission from a customer without her husband's knowledge

Question:
Aslm alkm. m y husband is one of managing partner in a company, and he is into land business. i used to support him like doing marketing and get customers for him. for that my husband use to give me a commission. what i want to know is....i did marketing to one of the customerkeeping 5% commission and they invested money and my hubby does not know abt this commission what i have kept/ but customer accepted to give the commission. please tell me is it right to do or shall i give back the commision. actually im the second wife for him i have one daughter of first husband and i know that he dnt have full right to take ccare of my dayghter/ so i want save some money for my daughter for her marriage or for education. pls tell me is it right.

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
It is permissible for you to take the commission because taking a commission is permissible if intermediation was done in a lawful business. You are not required to tell your husband about the commission you took from the buyer, since he is not a party in the brokerage contract, so he does not have to know about it. Also, there is no harm that the seller does not know about the commission taken from the buyer.
