All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Bilaal narrated a number of Ahaadeeth from the Prophet and Imaam Ahmad reported some of them in his Musnad. Among these are the following:
Bilaal said, ‘‘He (the Prophet ) was not used to forbid the prayer except at sunrise as it rises between the two horns of Satan.”
Ibn ‘Umar said, “I said to Bilaal 'How did the Prophet respond to them when they greeted him with Salaam while he was performing the prayer?' He replied, 'He used to gesture (for them) with his hand.'”
Ibn Abu Mulaykah said, “I asked Bilaal ibn Rabaah ‘Did the Prophet pray in the Ka’bah?’ He replied, 'Yes, he prayed two Rak’ahs between the two pillars.'"
However, the fact remains that Bilaal did not narrate many Ahaadeeth from the Prophet .
