Da'wah requires only true information

Question:

It has become common to practice Da‘wah through presenting pictures of the name of Allaah on a human heart or inside a fish, or on leaves on a tree forming together the statement "La Ilaaha Illallaah". Also pictures are presented of a safe and sound Masjid in Turkey amidst the destruction caused by an earthquake, and a story about an astronaut who heard Athaan on the Moon. Is this permissible and can it be useful?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

If such evidence is real and true, then it supports the creed of Tawheed (Islamic monotheism) and the Lordship of Allaah The Almighty. Hence, it is permissible to use such aids in Da‘wah, and the one who uses it will be reward by Allaah The Almighty.

When Muslims see such pictures, their faith is strengthened and when non-Muslims see such pictures, they may accept Islam.

Nevertheless, if such pictures are fabricated, they must not be used. Intellectual and textual evidences are sufficient proofs to prove Tawheed.

Allaah Knows best.
