All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Writing the Name of Allaah or some Quranic verses and the like in these cards is permissible – Allaah willing. A question was asked to the Permanent Committee of Iftaa' (issuing Fatwa) in regard to writing "Bismillaah" (in the Name of Allaah) in medical prescriptions and the like and its answer was: “Bismillaah Ar-Rahmaani Ar-Raheemi” (in the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful) may be written at the beginning of each paper of the papers of medical prescription as there is evidence of the excellence of writing it and the Prophet used to write it at the beginning of his letters. As regards some papers on which “Bismillaah” is written may be thrown in some improper places, then the writer is not sinful; rather, the sin falls upon the one who throws it or humiliates it.”
Allaah Knows best.
