All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
A group of scholars are of the opinion that it is permissible to donate body organs if there is a need to do so and doctors decide that the organ to be removed will not affect the donor and that the organ would be fit for the recipient.
It is impermissible to sell human organs because the human being is not an object of trade. A Muslim should have the intention of doing a favor to his brother, relieving his distress and seeking the reward of Allaah. If a sum of money is presented to the donor without him longing for it, then, it is permissible for him to take it.
