All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
The facial hair that a man is prohibited to remove is that of his beard and eyebrows and he is allowed to remove other than that. The extent of the beard, according to the linguists, is the hair that grows on the cheekbones, cheeks and chin.
Accordingly, if the mole is out of that extent, then there is nothing wrong with plucking out the hair that grows on it. However, if the mole is included in the extent of the beard, then it is allowed to remove the hair that grows on it if it deforms one's face and makes it look ugly. Ibn ‘Abdil Barr said in Al-Istithkaar: "Maalik said, it is permissible to take from the beard what is untidy, disheveled, too long or ugly-looking." [End quote]
Allaah Knows best.
