Question:
Assalamoalekum sheikhs I am a man of age 42. Over the years I have become mentally very weak due to psychological reason . I have a family to feed and my wife and children are dependent on me. Alhamdolillah Allah has given me every thing but still I am always in a state of fear. I am so weak that I cant take my rights from others. Even if I have lended money to some one they dont pay me back and I am unable to even ask them due to fear. Here in India people and majority of muslims are currupt and they dont care about other's property. They are so daunting that they very easily take over other person's property including muslims. Here there is no law and order. If you go to court or police they wont help you unless you bribe them heavily or you have political connections. I am a simple man ,I dont want to call upon anyone other than Allah to support me. But I am fearful about my property(a piece of land, which is very precious for me in this world) which is lying at a distance from my home where I do not reside. I fear about the neighbours and other people in the vicinity that they may take my property unlawfully or they will damage my boundary walls. Some of them have taken out windows on my plot without taking my permission and when I asked them to close they didnot close it. I am afraid of losing my privacy when my children will make a home there.pl tell me if I lose my property due to unlawfull people then what do I expect from Allah because I am unable to take revenge or take my property back . pl tell what will I get in this world or hereafter by Allah as a compensation. How do I console my self in these fearful circumstances. I want my offspring in better position after me that is why I am so frightened in these chaotic circumstances. Pl give me advise and dont just refer some other similar fatwa. pl help me , I will pray for u if give proper advise from quran , sunnah and examples of salaf. jazak allah
Answer:
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
All what you have asked about has not occurred yet; rather, it is merely fear and expectation. You did not ask us about something occurring so that we can give our reply to it and not refer you to previous Fataawa.
It is worth mentioning that we refer to the previous Fataawa so that we may avoid repetition and save our time and effort for the great amount of questions that we receive.
However, we have previously issued Fatwa 21131 about seeking the help of Allaah The Almighty against every oppressor or aggressor and Fatwa 86055 clarifying how one acquires reassurance and overcomes fear and we have stated supplications in that regard, and Fatwa 88660 about how to perform Ruqyah. So, kindly refer to these Fataawa and keep reciting the Athkaar of morning and evening and seek the advice of the specialists in the laws affairs of your country so that they may guide you to a way by which you can protect your land against any possible aggression.
Allaah Knows best.
