Praying while suspecting something was discharged from private parts

Question:

Assalaamu alaykum. I was once performing ablution, and when I blew my nose, I felt something coming out of my private part, and when I checked, I found a small drop of wetness. I was certain that it was not pre-seminal fluid, but at the time, I thought that it was sweat, since I had been playing sports earlier. I went ahead and lead the prayer whilst ignoring this wetness. Afterwards, I realised that it is far-fetched to say that it was sweat, because it was a (small) drop of wetness. I am certain that it was not pre-seminal fluid, but I suspect that it might have been urine or something else. My question is: what is the ruling on my prayer and that of those who prayed behind me? May Allaah reward you.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

If you suffer from Waswaas (obsessive whispers) and your feeling that you discharged something was just a suspicion or an illusion, then do not pay attention to this, and your prayer is valid.

However, if you are sure that you discharged something when you blew your nose, then you were obliged to remove that impurity, wash the place, and then repeat your ablution, because anything that comes out of the private parts is ruled to be impure.

It seems that what you discharged is urine, so you were obliged to do as we mentioned.

If you have prayed in the above condition, then you have to repeat that prayer, because you prayed without a valid state of purification. As regards those who prayed behind you, they do not have to repeat the prayer.
