Messengership attributed to other than the messengers

Question:

What is the name of the 'messenger' whose name is mentioned in the Quran and he is not a human being?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

The Sharee‘ah texts indicate that Prophethood in the Sharee‘ah sense is exclusive to human beings, as Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {And We sent not before you [as messengers] except men to whom We revealed from among the people of cities.} [Quran 12:109]

However, messengership may apply to some angels, such as Jibreel (Gabriel) may Allaah exalt his mention as Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {Allaah chooses from the angels messengers and from the people.} [Quran 22:75] Perhaps this is what the questioner means by this question.

Allaah The Almighty also Says (what means): {So I swear by the retreating stars - Those that run [their courses] and disappear - And by the night as it closes in. And by the dawn when it breathes [That] indeed, the Quran is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger.} [Quran 81:15-19] In his Tafseer, Ibn Katheer may Allaah have mercy upon him said, "It means that this Quran was conveyed by a noble messenger, meaning a noble angel who has good morals and a radiant appearance, and he is Jibreel may Allaah exalt his mention. Ibn ‘Abbaas, Ash-Sha‘bi, Maymoon ibn Mihraan, Al-Hasan, Qataadah, Ar-Rabee‘ ibn Anas, Adh-Dhahhaak and others also said this."

Allaah Knows best.
