Question:

I discussed my problem on the internet related to my health but my question is more to do with Fatwa. My problem is that there is frequent flow of white thick fluid from my penis sometimes it even comes out with urine. Due to this problem, I'm unable to offer my prayer and can't concentrate on my work due to tension. Kindly help me to resolve this problem and suggest possible treatment.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

Dear Brother,

We ask Allah to grant you an early cure from the anxiety you mentioned in your question.

We urge you to consult medical doctors who may examine you and give you necessary treatment and advice, Allah willing.

As for the prayer, you are not permitted to give it up for any reason.

You have only two conditions.

Firstly, the white discharge, which you mentioned in your question, comes out sometimes and stops at other times. In this condition, you are obliged to perform the prayer at that time when the discharge stops, even if that causes you to miss the prayer in congregation.

Secondly, the discharge is continuous and there is no specific time when it stops. In this condition, you should perform ablution when the time of the obligatory prayer starts. Then, perform the obligatory prayer and as many supererogatory prayers as you wish. When the time of another obligatory prayer starts, you have to renew your ablution. The discharge does not nullify your ablution even if it continues during the prayer.

If the discharge touches your clothes or body, you must remove it by washing with water. You should use something absorbent to protect your clothes from it. You must change the absorbent material or wash it for every obligatory prayer. But if you face difficulty in washing your clothes or changing the material, then perform your prayer in your actual state.

Allah Says (what means):

• {Allah does not intend to make difficulty for you, but He intends to purify you and complete His favor upon you that you may be grateful.} [Quran 5:6]

• {Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship.} [Quran 2:185]

You should not be overly concerned about it. This is a kind of affliction from Allah. If you are patient and hope for Allah's reward, surely Allah will grant you a good reward in this world and in the Hereafter. Allah Says (what means): {Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account [i.e. limit].”} [Quran 39:10] Allah also Says (what means):

{Who, when disaster strikes them, say, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.” Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.} [Quran 2: 156-157]

Allah knows best.
