Pictures and garments with images

Question:

What kind of pictures are Haram to hang up. Is it Haram for me to pray with pants that have pictures of cartoons on it. (Example: Winnie the pooh)? I pray with my pyjama that has pictures on it but I wear a prayer skirt over it. Is that all right?

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

It is forbidden to hang pictures of all creatures that have spirits, such as a human being, etc. unless we remove the head. So, it is not permitted to perform prayers while wearing trousers with pictures on it even if a garment is worn over the trousers. Wearing a dress with any form of picture is Haram, whether performing prayer or not.
