Muslims and Arabs in Support for Palestinians

Question:

How can Muslims and Arab let what is happening to the Palestinians who are our blood, our brothers and sisters, our children dying every second everyday? We just watch them die.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

It is confirmed in an authentic Hadeeth that Nu'man ibn Bashir narrated that the Prophet said: “The example of the believers in their harmony, their mercifulness toward one another, and their sympathy to each other, is like an example of the body. If one of its organs suffers, the whole body aches with fever and sleeplessness.” [Muslim]

There is no doubt that Palestine is a very precious "organ" in the body of Islamic Ummah. There we find the Masjid al-Aqsa, the place of Israa' and Mi'raj of the Prophet and the third sacred place after Makkah and Medeenah mosques.

What is happening today to our Muslim brothers there, such as killing, displacing people, and frightening them, is horrible; a crime that is heart-rending. So, it is obligatory for all of us to help our brothers at all levels: people, organizations, and governments must help them with weapons, money, and supplications, depending upon one's ability whether material or moral to support.

Allah Says (what means): {And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children who say, "Our Lord, take us out of this city of oppressive people and appoint for us from Yourself a protector and appoint for us from Yourself a helper?"} [Quran 4:75]

Therefore, whoever betrays them and neglects to support them according to his ability, he is indeed in big peril.
