How to Attract One's Wife

Question:

I got married with sister and she is, Masha Allah, very strong pious. After one week of our marriage, she told me that she I don't attract her physically and when I hold her she feels that she is hugging her brother not a husband. Please is might him be from Satan or what do you advice me to do because I love her so much and I want her to be happy and please give me Hadith and from Qur'an so I will feel comfortable.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

As for her feelings that she feels like hugging her brother whenever she hugs her husband, this is nothing but devilish insinuations. She should seek refuge with Allah from such feelings and should not pay any attention to them. Know that Satan is very fond of spoiling your marital life.

As for your external appearance, it is not an important matter. To get rid of this problem, always remember the saying of the Prophet that reads: “If a man whose religion and moral conduct are pleasing to you proposes to you, then let him marry; otherwise there will be great mischief and corruption on earth.” [At-Tirmithi]

Allah Says (what means): {Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you.} [Quran 49:13]

The Prophet said: “Verily Allah does not look to your bodies or to your faces, but He looks to your hearts and deeds.” [Muslim]

The Prophet also said: “There is no preference of an Arab over a Non-Arab or a white over a black or a black over a white except by the (degree) of piety.” [Ahmad]

However, we advise our brother to try his best to appear in a good appearance and to make himself as much attractive as possible. Ibn ‘Abbaas used to improve his appearance to his wives though he was a handsome man.

We ask Allah to grant you a happy life and make you both love each other.
