Can't sleep on her right side

Question:

My question is about sleeping. I know that our Beloved Prophet slept on his right side. I also know that we as Muslims must follow his Sunnah. My question is as following, every night when I go to sleep, I lay on the right side, read some Qur'an and some Dua, ask for forgiveness but I can't fall asleep... or better said I can't sleep at my right side! Then I'm forced to lay on the left side. Otherwise I won't fall asleep...I try but even after an hour I'm still awake...I dislike it very much, my way of sleeping because it isn't the right way, the way of our Prophet. Do you have some advice for me? I hope you can help me.

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

We thank our sister for her adherence to the Sunnah and her being worried for her failure to do it. This is indeed a sign of good faith (Iman) InshaAllah.

As for sleeping on the right hand side, it is Sunnah as you mentioned and one should endeavor to abide by it. But when the person does his best to adhere to it and fails to do so because of difficulty or hardship, then he/she can sleep on their left hand side.

Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): "...and (He) has not laid upon you in religion any hardship."

On the other hand, sleeping on one's left side is not forbidden.
