All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
The clothes that are forbidden to wear while in a state of Ihraam are the form fitting clothes that are sewn to fit body limbs like trousers, gloves, and so forth, and not what has thread in it. Therefore, there is no harm for a person in a state of Ihraam to wear a watch whose bracelet is made of leather or cloth.
There is a chapter in Al-Muntaqa Sharh Al-Muwatta' entitled: The saying of the Prophet : "Do not wear Thawb (long shirt), trousers or burnooses." So this includes all the clothes that could not have been made except by sewing or putting stitches on them like gowns and coats. But there is no harm in wearing an Izaar (lower waist cloth) which is made of woven texture.
Allaah knows best.
