All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
If your father is alive and permits you to use his Ihraam then you may use it, otherwise it is not allowed. If he is not alive then it is considered his inheritance. If it is not divided yet among the heirs then you are not allowed to take it unless they permit you, provided they are mature and sane. If the inheritance was divided and the Iharaam was in your share then you may use it. However, all the rulings apply if there is no impediment to wearing it, such as it should not be owned through forbidden money, or it should not be transparent that it exposes the body parts that must be covered and the like.
Allaah Knows best.
