The ruling of listening to the Quran while in the toilet

Question:

What is the ruling of listening to the Quran, or religious lectures, or news from the T.V. while in the toilet and while the bathroom door is open? Is there any religious prohibition in this?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

 

There is no harm in listening to the Quran or religious lectures while in the toilet and while leaving the bathroom door open as this does not lead to any religious prohibition.
