Muslim women using the same kinds of makeup used by non Muslim women

Question:

I wanted to ask about the fact that we Muslim women are forbidden to dress like non-Muslims, but there is no special way for beautifying ourselves than ending up conveying these non-Muslims, I mean there is no way to beautifying ourselves for our husbands or in all women's parties in an Islamic way the haircuts are all taken by the west and the dresses and accessories and make up because the ideal beauty comes from the west and I do not know any Islamic way. I want to know what are the limits I hope you understand my question and I hope it is clear enough.
Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

 

There is no doubt that it is forbidden to imitate the non-Muslims. The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "Whoever imitates a people, he is one of them." [Abu Daawood] The scholars may Allaah have mercy upon them stated that it is forbidden to imitate the non-Muslims in things which are peculiar to them or which are one of their religious symbols. As regards things which are common between them and others, then there is no harm for a Muslim in using them, like clothes, beautifications and the like. Therefore, there is no harm for a Muslim woman to beautify herself with things which does not contradict religion, and which does not cause harm to herself even if it is confirmed that these things are used by non-Muslims.
