And it is hard for him to leave her not because he loves her, but because of his in-laws and her parents who helped him get married to their doughter (more like a social problem( the brotehr keeps the doaa' to her all the time, and she is not happy with him because she wants him to agree with her on the wrongdoing she is comitting. He thinks in divorce in the future since he can not handle the mo'akher (late maher) right now, but he wants fro her to be a religious wife and it is hard to get divorce now, I know that it was the brotehr's mistake but many things happened during his engagment that he could not avoid because of his age wa la hawla wa la quata 'ella bellah, please advise him Jazakum Allahu khairan, you can reply in Arabic if you want
Answer:
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
Listening to music is forbidden for men and women equally as we have mentioned in Fatwa 81545.
Also, it is forbidden for a woman to appear in front of non-Mahram (marriageable) men while wearing pants, and it is forbidden for her to pick her eyebrows. Fore more benefit, please refer to Fataawa 84865 and 83371.
If the reality is as you mentioned that your wife enjoys listening to music and does other prohibited matters that are mentioned in the question, then we advise you to strive hard to exhort her and call her to give up such practices. This is to fulfill your due obligation of enjoining good and forbidding evil.
If she does not change her behavior then you have to physically prevent her and stop her from going out without proper Hijab, listening to music and picking her eyebrows.
Then, if she becomes straight, praise be to Allaah, otherwise she is a rebellious wife whose rulings are mentioned in Fataawa 85402 and 83244.
Allaah Knows best.
