Hadeeth about pimps

Question:
Salaam Alikum. I have heard this hadith from two people before, but I want to make sure its authenticity is correct as I have not heard it before. "A sahabis wife was sitting with her husband in the presence of prophet of Allah PBUH. There was a fly annoying the sahabis wife and it sat on her face, she moved her hand so that the fly goes away. Her husband told her in a joke and humourous way that "you should have left the fly to fall in love with you" By hearing this the prophet looked at the man and told him "You are a pimp and you deserve to die". Due to what he said to his wife. Now is the above hadith true or not. Also if its not authentic, please provide me any similar hadith regarding the same matter where a man is very reckless of his wife of female relatives. Thanking you, Your brother in Islam Iqbal Ahmed
Answer:
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
We have not come across the narration which you mentioned in the question in any of the books of the Sunnah, and it appears to be a fabricated narration. It is not among the morals of the Prophet to address anyone with such terms: “You are a pimp and you deserve to die.” Rather, when the Prophet used to see something wrong, he would say: “What is the matter with some people, they say so and so…”
In addition to this, there is no good for a pimp to die, as there is will be severe punishment awaiting for him.
To conclude, we believe that this is a fabricated narration and we have already issued Fataawa 90754 and 82073 warning against cuckoldry, whereby we mentioned authentic narrations.
