Wearing the slippers of the menstruating woman

Question:

Salam Aleikum. My 13 year old son and I have the same shoe-size. He often in a hurry,puts on my slippers when going to the bathroom. But if I have my monthly period(menses) what will be the consequences if my son puts on my slippers? Are they not the same as the clothes I wear wich are unclean when I have my menses? Thank you.
Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

 

It is permissible for your son to wear your slippers even during the days of your monthly periods. The slippers differ from the clothes which are stained by the bleeding of menses. The items of a menstruating woman as well as her slippers are pure; for more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 93768.
