Is it permissible to visit a woman in the hospital after delivery?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His Slave and Messenger.

It is permissible for women and the hospitalized woman’s Mahram (non-marriageable) men to visit her in hospital and other places after her delivery unless an act prohibited under the Sharee‘ah (Islamic law) — such as intermixing between the sexes— would ensue. In such a case, it would be impermissible to go on such a visit.
