My husband does not fast and I have to make coffee for him. My kids fast and see him smoke and eat. What do I do or tell them?
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
If your husband does not have a legal excuse for breaking the fast, then it is unlawful for you to obey him in preparing the food, as no person should obey any other person in doing that which contradicts Islam.
Rather you should advise him and remind him of Allah. You may seek the help of any good person who can help you have an influence on him. Remind him that he should be a good example for his children.
May Allah ease our matters and those of all Muslims and guide us all to the right path. Aameen.
Allah knows best.
